Save Time/ Be Focused:

Many of our clients do their own analysis, but find our work valuable because of its disciplined approach and it saves them time. Brokers and advisors will find multiple talking points each day to help with their client coverage. Traders are busy people, and they like our work because each chart can be understood "within 5 seconds." This is especially important during intraday market moves.

Idea Generation:

Our cross asset approach helps us identify tactical trading opportunities with defined risk. We present strategic ideas based on price patterns and then these are cross checked versus other markets. How does gold look?  Well, how is it performing relative to crude oil? vs equity indices, vs copper, vs treasuries etc.  This will give you a different perspective that can be extremely valuable.

Global Macro Influences:

Which currency is having an influencing factor on a various sector or commodity?  Is it likely that a particular sector will continue to lead or lag others or the broader market?  Are rotational plays winding down, re-positioning or gaining strength?  We show these and other influences every day.

President and Editor

David Wienke has over 30 years experience in the futures and securities business in various capacities including brokerage, trading and research. He began his career in 1985 with Kidder Peabody on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade.  Just after the 1987 crash Dave moved to the CME floor to build the direct to floor operation which allowed institutional accounts direct access to the broker desks right outside the trading pits. This was something new at the time.

In 1991 Dave joined Indo-Suez Carr Futures which later became part of Soc Gen/ Newedge Group.  With Carr until 2000, Dave was floor manager overseeing broker operations in the equity quadrant on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.  While managing the floor operation Dave also had one of the biggest books of client business at the firm, selling across multiple asset classes including equity indices, currencies, commodities and rates.  Over the years Mr. Wienke has covered some of the largest hedge funds, banks, CTA’s, and asset managers in the world.  Trade idea generation using technical analysis has been the focal part of his coverage with clients.  Cross market analysis models have been a forte of his work.

Dave has extensive experience in execution services in both futures and securities and is Series 3, 63, and 7 Registered.  He has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Futures Magazine and the Gartman Letter.
